John 8:31-32 “Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my wordthen are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

There is a Law continually at work. The Law is a type of “Law of the Universe”. This Law is hidden in the word, including in the words of the Bible, for us to find. If we understand this Law we begin the process of freedom; freedom from the false laws.  When we truly understand this Law, there is no way we will not believe it because it becomes truth to us, and faith in that which is understood will set you free.

Mark 4:11 “And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them. And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables? The sower soweth the word.”

The Law of the Kingdom of God is a mystery and hidden to “the world” or to “them that are without”. It is hidden in the “word” or in the parables.  Those that are “without” can see it and hear it, but do not truly understand it.

Matthew 13:23  “But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.”

You can see and hear the word, but that does not mean you understand it, and there is a huge difference between seeing and hearing it and then understanding it and sowing it on “good ground”.

John 9:39&41 “And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind…Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth.”

He comes into the “world” or to those who “are without” so that you may have a chance at knowing the difference between seeing the word and understanding it.  It is when you no longer “see” that it you begin to understand it. And when you understand it you have “received the see into good ground” and your “sins are forgiven” (See John 8, Mark 4 & Matt 13 quotes above).

The word gives us a seed, and then when we understand it, we nurture that understanding within ourselves to grow and produce fruit. If we are able to keep it on “good ground”, where good ground represents understanding the words, with patience and application, the fruit will come.

Hebrews 10:39 “But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.”

So in order to follow the Law of the Spirit and have your “sins forgiven” (do away with carnal sin and the carnal commandment) you must understand the word, and what the word (seed) is truly saying. If you understand the “seed” you understand and therefore believe to the “saving of your soul”.  It saves you because you then sow the seed and reap its fruit, rather than the seed just sitting dormant on the shelf because you don’t know how to use it. Remember the word is spiritual not carnal.  You actually understand it first, not with the carnal eyes but with the spiritual eye, and are then able to believe it and apply it (sow the seeds). No blind faith (belief) involved.

Job 42:5 “I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee.”

2 Corinthians 2:12-14 “Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man”

Again, when we truly see and understand the word and its spiritual message, we are then able to truly believe it because we understand it. It is not understood by traditional man’s wisdom, but by a spiritual means. But it is not blind faith; there is logic to the Law, and there is a logical way that it works, just not by the traditional logic of the world. And when we understand how the Spiritual Law works, we come to know how to follow it to reap its benefits (fruit)...

Romans 7:14 “For we know that the law is spiritual:…”

2 Corinthians 3:6 “Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life. But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away: How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious?”

Remember from the discussion about the double mind and the double heart. “What is our heart and how does it affect our path?”.  Our heart is changed from stone (tables of stone) to flesh; which means the understanding of the law is converted from literal ordinances written on stone (literal letter of the law) to a new understanding within us written in our heart (Spiritual Law). And it is even more glorious.

Exodus 20:2 “I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.” (literal commandment number 1)

John 8:31-32 “Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my wordthen are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”  John 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

Compare Exodus 20:2 with John 8:32 and John 14:6.  “I am” is the truth and a way.  The “I am” brings us out of bondage.  The truth brings us out of bondage and sets us free.  The truth of the LORD through the word brings us out of the house of bondage and sets us free.  The literal commandment of Exodus becomes spiritual and the spiritual understanding is the being of freedom, hence Law number 1.

So if the first law says the truth shall set you free (i.e. out of the house of bondage) but you have to first understand the truth before it can set you free; what is the spiritual understanding of the rest of the laws, because remember from Romans 7:14 the Law is spiritual?  To be continued.
