[Rom 8:27 KJV] 27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what [is] the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to [the will of] God.
[Rom 11:33-34 KJV] 33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable [are] his judgments, and his ways past finding out! 34 For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor?
[Jhn 4:24 KJV] 24 God [is] a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship [him] in spirit and in truth.
The Spirit that is God has a mind. Therefore, his mind is not a physical tangible thing, but like an energy that cannot be seen.
1Co 3:16 KJV] 16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and [that] the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
[Phl 1:27 KJV] 27 … that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;
The Spirit of God lives in the “temple of God”, so man can share in the Spirit of God that is also one in the same mind, a spiritual mind.
[2Ti 1:7 KJV] 7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
[Eph 4:23 KJV] 23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
The mind can take on a spirit of fear or one of love and power.
Fear is the opposite of love.
[1Jo 4:8 KJV] 8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
[1Th 5:23 KJV] 23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and [I pray God] your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
[1Co 6:16-17 KJV] 16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh. 17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.
[1Co 15:22, 44-46 KJV] 22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. ... 44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. 45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam [was made] a quickening spirit. 46 Howbeit that [was] not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
[Gen 3:21 KJV] 21 Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.
The body of Man (Adam) sown as flesh (away from the “Garden of Eden”) is a living soul with a coat of skin (the natural body); which the “one flesh” of the “harlot” (Eve) represents because she has eaten of the tree of knowledge with her husband and gained their coat of skin (flesh), one body, and this is the soul (Eve) and spirit (husband) joined together in one body, one flesh (one individual body in this world, but also as the whole body of mankind that is flesh). And this man (Adam, mankind) with the coat of skin (flesh, the natural body, soul (eve), and spirit (e.g. Christ crucified, and the serpent) can be quickened by the Spirit of God.
[1Co 15:53 KJV] 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal [must] put on immortality.
The living soul that was made corruptible by the covering of skin, must change and put on another covering, the cloak of immortality.
[Rom 8:11, 14 KJV] 11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you [i.e. when Jesus was changed from flesh to Spirit in our understanding of him)], he that raised up Christ from the dead [1Th 4:16 KJV] … and the dead in Christ shall rise first] shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. ... 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
The living soul became susceptible to mortality via the coat of skin, but there is hope of real life in the Spirit of God via the sowing and growing of the seed (word of God) which quickens the mortal body by the Spirit of the word.
[1Pe 1:23 KJV] 23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
[1Co 15:46 KJV] 46 Howbeit that [was] not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
[Rom 8:4, 6 KJV] 4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. ... 6 For to be carnally minded [is] death; but to be spiritually minded [is] life and peace.
The mind of man can think carnally or spiritually. Carnal is anything relating to the physical and not spiritual, and represents things of the physical world. Therefore, being carnally minded means thinking and focusing on the physical world (and physical body) and its happenings and mainly seeing the physical side.
[Mar 4:19 KJV] 19 And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.
So the carnal mind worries and is anxious about what the physical body may want and need in this world.
[1Pe 5:7 KJV] 7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
[Luk 12:29-31 KJV] 29 And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind. 30 For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. 31 But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.
But;
[Luk 17:21 KJV] 21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
It says to stop seeking the physical things directly [with the carnal mind] but rather seek within for the kingdom of God which has a connotation of mind over matter; where the mind is the controlling factor and the matter which can represent the material world is dictated by a mind that is either carnal or spiritual. It says if you seek the kingdom of God within the needs of the material world will be automatically gained.
[Eph 3:16, 20 KJV] 16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; ... 20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us…
From this it can be gleaned that things on the outside represent, symbolize, and are a projection of the power on the inside, the Spirit of the inner man, the mind. Because it says you are granted according to the power within. This is why the “righteousness of the law” is fulfilled by what is in the mind, and not vice versa. Walking in the Spirit is an inside job.
[Rom 14:17 KJV] 17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
The kingdom is not about getting external material things.
[Jhn 14:26 KJV] 26 But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
[Jhn 15:26 KJV] 26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, [even] the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
The “Holy Ghost” or Comforter is a Spirit; the Spirit of truth. And the kingdom of God is the realization of that Truth, the true reality that starts from within the mind.
[1Co 15:50 KJV] 50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
The carnal mind (e.g. flesh and blood) cannot obtain the kingdom of God. This must be because the Kingdom is within the consciousness of the mind (i.e. Temple of God) and not within the physical body, and the carnal mind associates with the corruptible. The carnal mind is not of the Spirit and therefore cannot relate to or be a part of the Kingdom of God. However;
[Rom 8:14, 21 KJV] 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. ... 21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
[1Co 15:49, 53 KJV] 49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. ... 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal [must] put on immortality.
Flesh and blood (i.e. carnal mind) cannot obtain the kingdom of God, however, it says the creature itself shall be delivered from the bondage of the corruptible world. The soul (Adam/Eve) bears (i.e. wears) the image of the earthy (coat of skin) but it shall also put on the image of the heavenly (immortal spiritual body). But keep in mind, corruption cannot inherit incorruption.
[1Co 15:52 KJV] 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
[Mat 6:22 KJV] 22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. [Eph 1:18 KJV] 18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened;…
The creature itself can be delivered from the bondage of the corruptible by a change of mind from carnal to spiritual, which is happens because of a twinkling of the eye, the twinkling or slight adjustment of the “eyes of your understanding” to enlightenment. The corruptible must put on incorruption, the incorruption of a spiritual mind. And then that which is mortal will be transformed by the Spirit indwelling the mind. The corruption does not inherit incorruption, but rather the corruption is dissolved by incorruption.
The soul with the coat of skin, a seed planted in corruption (i.e. the natural body) to grow and change the mind to one of Spirit and embody the life of the Spirit which quickens and changes the image of the body to one of spirit and mortality is dissolved by the understanding of immortality.
[2Co 4:16, 18 KJV] 16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward [man] is renewed day by day. ... 18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen [are] temporal; but the things which are not seen [are] eternal.
[2Co 5:16 KJV] 16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we [him] no more.
[1Th 5:23 KJV] 23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and [I pray God] your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
[Gal 5:25 KJV] 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
[Eph 4:23 KJV] 23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
[Mat 10:28 KJV] 28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
[Act 2:27 KJV] 27 Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
[Heb 10:39 KJV] 39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.
See previous post on what “hell” is.
[Mar 8:35-37 KJV] 35 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it. 36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? 37 Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
