Christ who lives and dies in us
Galatians 2:20 “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.”
Why is Christ dead? Because following a law does not prove righteousness. And the way to righteousness is Christ living in you and not “yourself” (ego). So if Christ is able to arise in us, then he must be also dead in us (a seed).
Hebrews 6:6 “If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and puthim to an open shame.”
1 Peter 1:19 “We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day stararise in your hearts:”
Colossians 1:27 “To whom God would make known whatis the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:”
John 1:14 “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”
Spiritually interpreted, Christ dies for us when he initially dwells into our fleshly carnal bodies and law bound minds. He is in our mind as a spiritual seed that is still yet dead. The seed of God is planted in us yet dead. And that spirit dies of itself when it comes into our flesh and becomes a part of us yet to be sprouted. The Word (seed) became flesh. His is dead because he dwells in our body that lives through the flesh (carnal mind) which IS death. Christ is hereby crucified when he becomes just a seed in us (i.e Christ in you the hope of glory). Christ gave himself for us; by allowing himself to be in the flesh, by coming into each of us as a seed, by being in each of us, through which he really can and does feel all of our infirmities, because he is in all of us [as a seed first]. Christ “saves” us through his death because that “death” simply means he dwell in our flesh, as a seed. Christ is THEN able to “save” us via his resurrection IN US. He is able to be resurrected in us, when our old man is crucified, and we are then resurrected together. This is how he saves us and this is how his death and his resurrection truly has the power to save us [from our carnal mind which is death, and is the death of Christ]. His resurrection saves us because it is a part of us, in us, and not something outside of us.
Romans 6:5-8 “For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be alsoin the likeness ofhis resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified withhim, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin. Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:”
The fleshly understanding of Christ dies when our old man is crucified. And we are then able to understand how the resurrection works, IN US. We die with him, “him” being the carnal Jesus who is someone outside of us. Our old understanding of him dies which allows him to be resurrected a new (spiritually) within us.
2 Corinthians 5:15-16 ”Andthat he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again. Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know wehim no more.”
John 16:7 “Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you”.
John 15:26 “But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
The Comforter is the “Spirit of Truth” which comes once we understand Christ after the flesh no longer (gone away).
